REthink is providing green building design consultation and LEED NC certification services for the developer that is building the Military Entrance Processing Station in El Segundo.  It is a 33,000 SF new construction class A office building. The project will include climate appropriate energy efficiency strategies such as daylighting and night cooling.

 

REthink is providing LEED EB certification services and project management for the certification of a 77 room hotel in Santa Monica.  It will be one of the first hotels certified under the LEED EB system.  The Ambrose has been awarded the City of Santa Monica Sustainable Quality Award for its excellence in environmental practices and is a Santa Monica Certified Green Business.
REthink provided LEED EB feasibility analysis and green operations strategies to help certify this 867,000 square foot facility
REthink provided green design consultation and building systems and materials specification for a new home to meet the LEED for Homes Platinum certification level.  Strategies included green living walls, rainwater catchment, greywater systems, radiant heating, and natural ventilation.
Village Homes – 320 unit mixed use project in Santa Monica. 

This ground breaking project required coordination of City and Public Utility involvement with the private developer to develop the onsite energy generation capacity.  A large subsidy for a Fuel Cell and energy efficiency measures was obtained from the public utilities.  In addition, a comprehensive sustainability strategy was developed for the project.
Striving for LEED certification the project includes 250 kW of rooftop solar and is the first and only parking structure to achieve a LEED certification.
The LEED EB certification efforts for this project required the coordination of every department within the city to document and initiate environmental policies from purchasing certified lumber to retrofitting lighting with low mercury bulbs.  The project resulted in new, more effective environmental policies city-wide.
